Job description:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Financial Accounting
- Assisting with the maintenance of accurate Financial Statements
- Ensuring compliance with applicable Accounting and Corporate Policies
- Ensuring that entries are recorded in compliance with the company’s policies and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Performing Bank Statement Reconciliations
- Processing monthly journals in preparation of Financial statements
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
- Preparing and Reconciling Monthly VAT submissions
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Registers
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assigning payments and Receipts and performing reconciliations
- Preparing Reports to analyse trends
- Treasury
- Preparing foreign payment documentation and ensuring foreign cover is taken as requested.
- Risk and Compliance
- Conducting adhoc Internal audits to test Internal Controls
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understand and adhere to systems of internal control.
- Goal orientated
- Ability to work under pressure
- Analytical and Accurate with attention to detail
