We have an internship opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain practical work experience in their field of study. This role is for a marketing graduate that is eager to get stuck into various ATL and BTL marketing tasks, from social media strategy and content creation, to reporting and some great activations at malls and sporting events.

This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and is an intern position at 40 hours per week, for a contract period of three months. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.
Responsibilities:
– Generate story ideas and content for multichannel marketing.
– Develop an optimal posting schedule based on analysis of peak web traffic and engagement patterns.
– Write and edit content features.
– Capture video content including interviewing co-workers, guests or VIPs, and editing with software.
– Collaborate with clients and suppliers to develop brand appropriate content for various platforms – both ATL and BTL.
– Collaborate with other marketing and PR functions to ensure alignment of editorial and marketing initiatives. Oversee management of conversations on social media channels.
– Assist with campaign and content creation, as well as posting and reporting using various systems.
– Assist with content collection and /or creation for email blasts.
– Liaising with suppliers on event organisation, mall activations, and stand builds.
Requirements:
– Proficiency with WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
– Experience with HTML/CSS and website analytics using a variety of tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
– Strong editing and proofreading skills.
– Experience working with digital video and photo editing tools.
– Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles.
– Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
– Outgoing and comfortable with interacting with people of various personalities and backgrounds.
– Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
– Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences.
– Ability to contribute individually, work with various specialised teams and collaborate with others in a fast paced environment.
– Project management and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail is a MUST.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields preferred
Competencies:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of editorial development and a deep knowledge of digital channels and their content requirements. The candidate must have strong writing skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external managers and business owner.
This position requires a creative mind, the ability to be flexible in response to the constantly evolving world of social media and willingness to do hands-on work, heavy lifting (sometimes) and some long hours from time to time (on the eventing side).
