Short Summary:
Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, this position is an internship and will predominately focus on public relation related tasks. The internship will report directly to the Public Relations Officer and take briefs directly from them.
The ability to work autonomously, efficiently and in a flexible manner within the marketing team is crucial.
Duties:
- PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Aid in conceptualizing PR campaigns
- Assist with copywriting
- Assist with article writing for various media platforms
- Assist with editorials
- Assist with press releases
- Assist with sending of hampers, gifts, media packs etc.
- Find and gain PR related media opportunities – this can range from digital, to traditional media including print, radio, tv
- INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
- Assist Marketing & Communications officer with all internal communications.
- Make suggestions as to internal communication activities or resources that would enhance SOILL’s ability to deliver effective internal communication
- DIGITAL
- Work closely with existing digital channels
- GENERAL MARKETING
- Assist the Marketing Manager as needed on various tasks/ projects
- COPYWRITING
- Write creative copy for advertising, spell and grammar check artwork, packaging, and any copy related task that might be needed by the Marketing Manager.
Key Competencies required:
- Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Public Relations
- Literate in English.
- Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience:
- No work experience needed
- Experience with WordPress, Web Development (HTML/CSS) would be a distinct advantage
