The above mentioned position is available in the Operations department at Robben- Island Museum. Reporting to the Supervisor Information the incumbent will be responsible to Channel all incoming calls, faxes and post to the relevant RIM employee and monitor phone usage.
Duration: 12 Months contract
Stipend: R70 715.00 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel incoming calls to the appropriate person or department;
- Take message and e-mail to the appropriate person;
- Provide caller with basic information about RIM;
- Report faulty telephone equipment or switchboard;
- Provide information and update the on-line staff directory;
- Consolidate staff’s phone usage in a spreadsheet for managers;
- Analyse pin code usage and report discrepancies to the appropriate authority;
- Create speed dials for Managers;
- Receive, and distribute post;
- Receive, register and distribute faxes;
- Direct visitors to relevant offices.
Requirements:
National Diploma in:
- Tourism
- Public Relations
- or Marketing;
Competencies:
- Computer Literacy;
- Fluency in 2 official languages;
- Oral communication;
- Customer Service Orientation;
- Attention to detail;
- Problem solving.
