Description
Undergraduate Bursary: Btech / Hons Electronic Engineering X1.
Project: Watt Balance.
Bursary Allowance: R 90 000.00 Per Annum
The aim of the studentship is to develop an electronic unit that will be used in the mobile Watt balance. The unit will consist of the electronic components to measure current and voltage, data processing to determine the mass and display of the results. The system must be automated as far as possible to allow the unit to be used at exhibitions. If you want to further your education and be part of this exciting new project, this is the studentship you have to apply for. The student should register with Cape Peninsula University of Technology for 2022 academic year The full costs of registration and tuition; residence fees and allowance for prescribed books and necessary requirements. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain work experience at NMISA during vacations.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
- Undergraduate students who are registered full-time at a recognized South African university in any of the fields listed above with an average of ≥ 60%
- 3-year degree/ diploma within the following field: Electronic Engineering
- Keen interest in research and development of new ideas
- Thinking outside the box
- Sound mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Ability to prepare scientific reports
- Computer literacy
- Computer modeling skill will be an added advantage
