Nielsen South Africa Human Resorce(HR) team is looking for a motivated and dynamic intern to join the team!

What Will You Do?

The HR team makes a difference every day for the whole South Africa business and Nielsen globally. You will help the team to make that difference on the following topics:

Administrative tasks

  • Encoding of the updates in the badging and absence system
  • Encoding and management of the invoices
  • Perform data checks in our systems and apply internal procedures
  • Employees’ files management
  • Encoding of the changes in our employee management system (SAP).
  • Support the Payroll & HR Specialist on contract management, addendums, and other admin related duties

HR Projects Support

  • Prepare files related to HR projects on request (research, documentation, feasibility studies)
  • Assist the team on HR projects (preparation, organization, technical requests)
  • Support on the onboarding process for new employees
  • Support the HR Advisor on recruitment (job description preparation, candidate screening, interview organization, participation in interviews, ATS (applicant tracking system)

Depending on the projects coming in, or according to your interests, ideas, time and initiatives, you could also work on other topics, in accordance with your HR colleagues and the business priorities. We are open to discussing any other projects you could lead so that your internship has the best-added value for you as for us!

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and a self-directed intern who:

  • Certificate, bachelor or honors in an HR-related field
  • Has strong written and oral communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Is able to speak to employees in a tactful and helpful manner and is customer friendly
  • Is accurate and attentive, able to manage a lot of information in a fast moving environment
