ECIC has two main trainee roles open for 2026.
Graduate Trainee – Business Development
This position deals with finding deals, research, and talking to clients in finance and export credit. Trainees conduct market research and profile companies. They spot partners, investors, and clients, and help build deal pipelines. Other tasks include competitor analysis, sector reviews, due diligence, and financial checks. Trainees also join client meetings and networking events.
Graduate Trainee – Actuarial
This role aids the Actuarial Unit with data work, insurance models, and reports. Trainees help with calculations for insurance reserves and solvency. They support pricing models, data checks, risk reports, and projections. Tasks cover regulatory submissions and actuarial reports.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements differ by role.
For Business Development, you need a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Law, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
For Actuarial, hold a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, or a similar quantitative area. You must actively pursue actuarial board exams.
