Internship: Executive Director’s Office

This role is in the Human Settlements department, reference number 008/2026. You need a diploma or degree at NQF Level 6 or 7 in Business Management, Business Administration, Journalism, Media, Public Administration, or Public Management.

Your duties include providing admin support, helping with research and analysis, and assisting in monitoring processes. You will also contribute to business plans, reports, strategic planning, HR tasks, compliance, event planning, and communications.

Internship: Transport Systems Management

Found in the Transport department, reference number 009/2026. Requirements are a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Town and Regional Planning, or Transport Management.

Tasks cover assisting in transport planning and policy work, developing strategies, evaluating traffic studies, joining stakeholder consultations, and supporting transport projects.

Internship: Quantity Surveyor

Also in Transport, same reference 009/2026. You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying at NQF Level 7.

Responsibilities involve preparing project quantities, reviewing costs and invoices, supporting infrastructure programs, handling risk management, budgeting, and keeping projects on time and within budget.

Minimum Requirements

All applicants must be South African citizens and currently unemployed. You need a relevant diploma or degree at NQF Level 6 or 7. Commitment to the full duration is essential.

Skills and Competencies Required

Candidates should show strong communication and computer skills, especially in MS Office and Excel. Analytical thinking, research ability, attention to detail, teamwork, independent work, time management, organization, professionalism, and integrity are key.
