Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the CGE Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have completed a relevant NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree, Honours, Master’s Degree, or equivalent qualification as specified for each internship.
- Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.
- For the Policy & Research role, a valid driver’s licence is required.

- Policy & Research: Master of Arts Degree in Social Sciences or a relevant Social Sciences discipline.
- Legal Services: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BA Law, or BCom Law.
- Human Resources: NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or an equivalent qualification.
- Public Education & Information: NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Gender Studies, Education, or an equivalent field.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Honours/Master’s qualification in fields such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Public Administration, Administration, Public Management, Information Management, or Social Sciences.
Competencies Required
