About SANSOR

The South African National Seed Organization (SANSOR) is the main representative body for South Africa’s seed industry. SANSOR speaks for seed companies and other stakeholders both in South Africa and internationally. The organization works to promote quality, new ideas, and good practices within the seed sector. A key responsibility for SANSOR is managing the South African Seed Certification Scheme for the Minister of Agriculture. Programme Duration and Location

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a minimum four-year qualification in Agricultural Sciences.
• Possess strong knowledge of Seed Science, Botany, Crop Production, Plant Pathology, Entomology, and Seed legislation.
• Have good English communication and excellent writing skills.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in public speaking.
• Be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and database systems.
• Hold a valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Have no criminal record.
• Be a natural-born South African citizen.
• Be based in Pretoria.
• Be willing to travel extensively.
• Provide at least four references.

An added advantage would be relevant agricultural or seed industry experience (excluding study years) and fluency in Afrikaans.
