This is to inform the general public that the management of the UNICAL (ISW) has announced the official graduation date, gown collection date, fees, event programs as well as the list of graduands for the ISW graduation ceremony 2023/2024 academic year.

Graduation is one of the most important occasions in the (ISW) academic calendar 2023 where students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, receive their hard-earned degrees and diplomas. Indeed, graduation marks the culmination of many years of personal sacrifice and hard work that have laid the foundation for successful and inspiring careers.
At UNICAL graduation, Honorary Degrees are also conferred to distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to society, both in Tanzania and at a global level.
Graduation is getting a diploma or academic degree or the ceremony that is sometimes associated with it, in which students become graduates. Before graduation, candidates are referred to as graduands. The date of graduation is often called graduation day.
The graduation ceremony itself is also called commencement, convocation, or invocation. Normally, the ceremony and name apply to high school and above (the next ascending levels being Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate)
Students who are eligible to graduate will receive official invitations to their graduation ceremonies containing details of their ceremony, how to get a gown, and how to organize for photographs
Graduands will be issued with graduation gowns at their respective student’s faculty office on the week of graduation. All graduation regalia must be returned in time and those returned after the deadline shall attract a penalty fee.

Students and guests must dress formally. All graduates must wear academic attire.
All graduands are informed that fee for hiring graduation gown is Tshs 40,000/-(nonrefundable). This fee will be paid via the Students Information Management System (SIMS) accounts as follows:
Steps to do:
1. Log in to SIMS (via ISW Website)
2. Select – Payments ( left on Menu)
3. Select Create Invoice
4. Select Others
5. Choose Graduation Gowns
6. Click Create Invoice button
7. Select your mode of payment where all payment instructions are clearly indicated.
