The management of the Institute Of Finance Management (IFM) has released the entry requirements for successful admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate (Degree, Ph.D., Masters, Diploma, Certificate, Short Course and Non-Degree) programmes respectively for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Masters and Postgraduate
IFM Masters Degree Programmes
- Either first degree or advanced diploma with at least a second class, or a first degree or advanced diploma (with a pass class), and a good postgraduate diploma in the related field from a recognized higher learning institution.
Collaborative Masters Degree Programmes
- First Degree and/or a good Advanced Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution.
Please note: With exception to IFM-Master degrees, all Admissions into Master degrees in collaboration are subject to approval by collaborative partner Institutions.
Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree Courses
- First Degree /or Advanced diploma from a recognized higher learning institution.

Bachelor Degree: Direct Entry (Holder of Form Six)
Accounting
- Two principal passes. Those without a principal pass or subsidiary pass in Mathematics must have a credit at O-level
Banking and Finance
- Two principal passes. Those without a principal pass or subsidiary pass in Mathematics must have a credit at O- level.
Information Technology
- Any two principal passes in Science Subjects. Those without a principal pass or subsidiary pass in Mathematics must have a credit at O-level
Insurance and Risk Management
- Two principal passes at A-level
Social Protection
- Two principal passes at A-level
Tax Management
- Two principal passes at A-level. Those without a principal pass or subsidiary pass in Mathematics must have a credit at O-level.
Computer Science
- Two principal passes in Physics and Mathematics.
Actuarial Sciences
- Two principal passes at A-level one of which must be in Mathematics.
Bachelor Degree: Equivalent Entry (Holder of Diploma)
Accounting
- Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Procurement and Supplies Management, Tax Administration, Economics or Banking and Finance with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, with at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O- level.
Banking and Finance
- Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Procurement and Supplies Management, Tax Administration, Economics or Banking and Finance with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, with at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Information Technology
- Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Computer Science with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, and at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Insurance and Risk Management
- Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management or Business Administration or Economics with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, and at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Social Protection
- Diploma in Social Protection, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Banking and Finance with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, and at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Tax Management
- Diploma in Tax Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Procurement and Supplies Management, Economics or Banking and Finance an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, and at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Computer Science
- Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Computer Science with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0, and at least four passes (excluding religious subjects) at O-level.
Ordinary Diploma
Holder of Form six certificates with at least a principal and a subsidiary pass (excluding religious subjects).
OR
A Form Four certificate with at least four passes (religious subjects not counted) and with NTA level 4 i.e. Basic Certificate from a recognized higher learning institution. For ODCS and ODIT, one of the passes at O – level must be in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
Basic Certificate (NTA 4)
A Form four certificate with at least four passes (excluding religious subjects). For BTCC & IT, one of the four passes must be in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
