Programme Duration and Location

The Graduate Development Programme will run for a period of 24 months, commencing in 2026. Successful candidates will gain experience in various locations across South Africa.

For the Regions and Consumer Affairs programmes, the first month will be spent in Gauteng. Following this initial period, graduates appointed to the Free State programme will spend 23 months in the Free State, while those appointed to the Limpopo programme will spend 23 months in Limpopo. ICASA will not cover accommodation costs for these provincial placements, so candidates should plan accordingly.

The Monitoring and Evaluation and Risk and Compliance programmes will be based in Centurion, Gauteng.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the ICASA Graduate Development Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution of higher learning.
• Specific degree requirements vary by programme:
• Regions and Consumer Affairs (Free State & Limpopo): Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Information Engineering.
• CEO’s Office (Monitoring and Evaluation): Degree in Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Project Management.
• Risk and Compliance: Degree in Risk Management or a Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possess a valid driver’s licence.
• For foreign qualifications, an evaluation from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is required.
