Contentellect currently has a 3-month full-time internship opportunity for a young and unemployed graduate to join a digital company with a global reach in the travel and sports industries. The right candidate will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in digital marketing, including SEO, social media and content marketing. You will be assigned a specific area to focus on, but can also work across many different sites to broaden your learning experience.
Contentellect provides content-led digital marketing services for travel companies, helping them to rank organically. We are experts at identifying high-intent search keywords and crafting compelling articles that rank in Google – without paid advertising.
You will be mainly working with clients in the following areas:

This opportunity is open to applicants based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban.
After the 3 month internship, if you have proven yourself to be an invaluable asset to our team, we will offer you a full time role to work closely with the Client Relations and Marketing Directors.
Responsibilities:
– Writing detailed informational articles.
– Formatting and editing articles produced by our writer network, so that they are ready for publication.
– Blogger and influencer outreach to build relationships with key players on the web. This task will include writing guest posts for other websites.
– Social media management of our Facebook pages.
– Other ad hoc digital marketing tasks when required.
Full training for all these tasks will be provided.
Requirements:
– University degree, or studying towards a degree
– Drive to succeed in the digital marketing space
Qualifications:
Marketing or related degree/diploma
Competencies:
– Creative flair: You must love the written word and have a natural knack for writing fun, engaging and insightful content.
– Research chops: You must be able to quickly research a topic and synthesise information into a great piece of content.
– Great attention to detail: Your content will be read by 1000s of people so it needs to read well. It also needs to be factually correct and grammatically perfect.
– Process-driven: You will be tasked with reaching out via email to form relationships with bloggers and influencers. You will need to have strong email etiquette and a process-driven mind to track engagements and follow-ups in Excel.
