The management of the College of Business Education (CBE) invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for admissions into CBE Undergraduate, Bachelor Degree, Ordinary Diploma, Certificate, Short Courses, and other programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year.
CBE Undergraduate admission application form 2023/2024 is open to all interested applicants irrespective of colour, race, ethnic identity, religion, gender or national origin, provided they qualify for the programme for which they have applied.
CBE Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Both Tanzanian and non-Tanzanian interested applicants can apply for the College of Business Education Undergraduate Admission 2023/2024 as Government Sponsored or Private candidates provided he/she met the minimum requirements for the specific program.

BACHELOR DEGREE COURSES (THREE YEARS) (NTA LEVEL 7-8)
1. Bachelor Degree in Accountancy
2. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration

Entry Requirements for BMKT
A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Marketing Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
Any two Principal passes in “A” Level with a score of 4 points and above but for Accountancy Programme one should have at least a ‘D’ pass in Mathematics at ‘O’level
Two year Diploma with second class and above from a NACTE recognized Institution specialized with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
For previous year’s graduates up to 2013:
Two principal or subsidiary passes in appropriate subjects in the (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent based on the following grade point conversion scale:
A=5; B+= 4; B= 3; C=2; D=1; S=0.5 and F=0 point
[The Principal level passes in religious subjects are not counted]OR
Ordinary Diploma (NVA level 6) in Business Studies with a GPA of 3.0 and above
For graduates of 2014 and above
Two passes of at least ‘D’ grade in appropriate subjects in the (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent total of 2.0 points based on the following grade point conversation scale.
A=5; B+=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; E= 0.5 and F=0 point
Entry Requirements for BIT
A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (BIT) Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
Any two Principal passes at “A” Level with a score of 4 points and above.
OR
Two principal or subsidiary passes in appropriate subjects in the (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent (For graduates of before 2013)
OR
Two passes of at least ‘D’ grade in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or Geography subjects in the (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent a total of 2.0 points (For graduates of 2014 onwards)
OR
Two year Diploma with a GPA of 3.0 and above from NACTE recognized Institution in Computer Science and Engineering, ICT, Computing and Information Technology, Computer Applications, Electronic and Telecommunications and Computer Engineering.
OR
Second class Teachers’ Diploma with science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Geography
Entry Requirements for BBSE
A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Business Studies With Education (BBSE) Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
Any two Principal passes at “A” Level with a score of 4 points and above
Ordinary Diploma (NVA level 6) in Business Studies class or its equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 or above from NACTE recognized Institution.
Two principal or subsidiary passes in appropriate subjects in the (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent.(for those who completed A-Level in 2013 backwards)
For those who completed A-Level in 2014 onwards, must have two passes (ie. Two D’s) with a total of 2.0 points
Any other Diploma of Mathematics or Science subjects, being Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering etc. as one of the major subjects. The candidates should have at least a GPA of 3.0 and above.
Full Technician Certificate (FTC) with ‘C’ AVERAGE
Entry Requirements for BMET
A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Metrology and Standardization Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
This course is only offered at College of Business Education (CBE) in Tanzania. Students pursuing this course have high chance of employment opportunities in the Government and scholarship priority from HESLB.
Any two Principal passes in science combination at “A” Level with Physics or Mathematics as one of the major subjects with a score of 4 points and above.
Full Technician Certificate (FTC) from a NACTE recognized Technical College.
Two year Diploma with second class and above from a NACTE recognized Institution specialized in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineer
Entry Requirements for BPS
A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
Any two Principal passes in “A” Level with a score of 4 points and above but for Accountancy Programme one should have at least a ‘D’ pass in Mathematics at ‘O’level

Form six with at least one principal and one subsidiary pass.

Form IV with four passes including Mathematics plus Basic Technician Certificate in Information and Communication Technology
OR
Any Basic Technician Certificate with Physics or Mathematics
Entry Requirement Diploma Metrology
A Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Ordinary Diploma Metrology and Standardization Program if the Candidate has obtained:
Form six with at least one principal and one subsidiary pass in science subjects including Physics or Mathematics.
Form IV with four passes including Physics or Mathematics plus Basic Technician Certificate in Industrial and Legal Metrology
OR
Any Basic Technician Certificate with Physics as one of the major subjects.
Entry Requirement Diploma General
Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
Form Six Examination Certificate with at least one principal and one subsidiary pass of the appropriate discipline.
NVA- Level 4 (Basic Technician Certificate) in the programme applied for ATEC I (NBAA)
Foundation Stage I (PSPTB/NBMM)
Entry Requirement Certificate LIM
A Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Basic Technician Certificate in Metrology and Standardization Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
National Technical Award (NVA) Level 3 , (NVTA – VETA) which must be relevant to the programmes
OR
Form IV with at least four passes in English, Mathematics and or Physics, but excluding religious subjects
NB: All Programs are offered at Degree, Diploma and Certificate levels, in all Campuses except Mbeya Campus where the Programs are offered only at Diploma and Certificate Levels.
A Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Basic Technician Certificate in Business Administration Program if the Candidate has obtained:
Entry Requirement Certificate General
National Technical Award (NVA) Level 3 (NVTA – VETA),
OR
Form IV with at least four passes excluding religious subjects.
NB: All Programs are offered at Degree, Diploma and Certificate levels, in all Campuses except Mbeya Campus where the Programs are offered only at Diploma and Certificate Levels.

A Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Basic Technician Certificate in Information Technology Program if the Candidate has obtained:
Certificate of Secondary Education With at least 4 passes (Four Ds)
NB: All Programs are offered at Degree, Diploma and Certificate levels, in all Campuses except Mbeya Campus where the Programs are offered only at Diploma and Certificate Levels.
Entry Requirement Certificate Accounty
A Candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to Basic Technician Certificate in Accountancy Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
National Technical Award (NVA) Level 3 (NVTA – VETA),
OR
Form IV with at least four passes excluding religious subjects or NABE II with at least three passes in relevant subjects but for Accountancy programme student must have at least ‘D’ pass in mathematics subject.
