This post covers the process to complete and submit your application to the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) online for 2025 enrollment.
If you want your application to be processed by the college, make sure you complete your application and submit all supporting documents before the application closing date.
University of KwaZulu-Natal Online Application Process 2025
- You can apply online by visiting the UKZN Online Application Portal. Applicants can also visit the school to book an online application session if possible.
- You can use either your smartphone, tablet, or computer to apply online via the student i-Enabler, using your PIN and student number to log on.
- Applicants should apply for admission for the current level and the next level of their application.
- Make sure you upload all the required documents and pay the necessary fees.

UKZN Undergraduate Application procedures for 1st time
South African Applicants
All first-time South African applicants to UKZN for entry into degree study in the first semester (February) of an academic year (Grade12s as well as undergraduate transfer students from other institutions) must apply via the Central Applications Office (CAO).

International Applicants
Application for admission to fulltime undergraduate and postgraduate studies must be made directly to UKZN at www.ukzn.ac.za
No late applications for international students
Online applications
The UKZN has developed an online application system. The following applicants must apply online at www.ukzn.ac.za:
- Postgraduate and international applicants;
- Internal transfer students (students that are currently registered at UKZN and wish to transfer to another qual)
- Returning former UKZN undergraduate Applicants;

Manual applications
The following applications must be made manually directly to UKZN:
- Applicants for non-degree studies.
- New applicants applying for admission to Semester 2 (August).
Consult with UKZN on the availability of spaces in programs before submitting applications for Semester 2.

Applicants need to take care to ensure that their application fee payment reaches us on or before the closing date.

Unsuccessful applications
- Capacity Restrictions: Applicants who qualified but could not be accommodated due to capacity.

- Application Unsuccessful: Applicant does not meet minimum admission requirement .
