Participants will gain exposure to different facets of the business, from supporting project work to assisting with strategic planning. The goal is to provide a comprehensive learning experience that goes beyond theoretical knowledge.

Eligibility and Requirements

To be considered for this programme, applicants must meet specific criteria. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related commercial field is essential. Applicants must also be South African citizens and possess work authorization for South Africa.

Furthermore, candidates should have less than one year of full-time work experience in their field of study. This ensures the programme targets individuals who are genuinely seeking foundational experience. Applicants must also be willing to relocate to Isando if they are not currently based there.

Essential Application Documents

A successful application requires submitting several key documents. These include an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a Matric Certificate. Proof of South African citizenship, such as an ID document, is also necessary.

Academic transcripts detailing your educational performance are required. If your institution requires practical experience for your qualification, a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) requirement letter from your institution must also be attached.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities

Successful candidates will play an active role within the Personal Care Team. Key responsibilities include supporting project work, assisting with problem-solving, and aiding in project coordination. Participants will collaborate with cross-functional teams on WIL projects.

A significant part of the role involves supporting Brand Managers with consumer and shopper insight strategies. This includes assisting in the planning and management of promotional activities. Participants will also help manage purchase orders and budget tracking, alongside supporting category administration and working with approved agencies to execute marketing deliverables.

Desired Skills and Attributes

Tiger Brands seeks candidates who demonstrate specific skills and a proactive attitude. Passion and drive are highly valued, as is a proactive approach to learning. Strong problem-solving abilities are important for tackling the challenges presented in a dynamic FMCG environment.

The company looks for good team players who can collaborate effectively. Candidates should also be able to take ownership of tasks and projects, showing initiative and responsibility. A genuine interest in building a career in brand management and marketing is essential for success in this programme.

Important Considerations for Applicants

Tiger Brands may give preference to candidates from under-represented designated groups, in line with their Employment Equity Plan. This reflects the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants should be aware that if they do not receive feedback within 21 days after applying, their application should be considered unsuccessful.
