Tegkor Student Bursary Application Details 2022-2023
Students from the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) are invited to apply for the Tegkor Bursary. The bursary is open to undergrad and postgrad students.
The bursary is intended for students studying towards an accounting qualification.
1st year
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Accounting Sciences
2nd & 3rd year
- BCom General Accounting
- BCom (Chartered) Accounting
- BCom Accounting Sciences
Postgraduate:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA CTA)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy (PGDA)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Auditing (PGDIA)
Requirements:Â
1st year students:Â
- South African citizen
- Completed matric
- Accepted to study BCom Accounting/BCom Accounting Science at the Nelson Mandela University
2nd & 3rd year students
- South African citizen
- Average of 70% (in first year) and 65% (in 2nd year)
- Studying towards BCom General Accounting/Â BCom (Chartered) Accounting/BCom Accounting Sciences
Postgraduate studies
- South African citizen
- Entering your Postgraduate year, studying an accounting qualification at the Nelson Mandela University
Terms & Conditions:
- Learner must be a South African citizen;
- Bursary amounts of up to R7 500;
- Bursary will be credited to the recipients’ student account;
- This bursary can be used together with other bursaries and awards (e.g. Nelson Mandela University Scholar Merit Awards) – if declared on your application form;
- Preference will be given to financial need as defined by the “missing middle” category of student intending on studying further but who does not already qualify for free access to higher education (aggregate household income above R350,000 but below R600,000 – proof to be submitted).
