Artisan Learnerships is a structured, occupationally directed programme that leads to a qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework and is trade-related.
The Accredited Learnership Programme covers Knowledge, Practical and Work-based Learning.
A trade is a job that requires an artisan qualification. An artisan is officially certified to perform a specific trade under the law/ legislation.
The following Learnership opportunities are available to applicants interested in pursuing a career in the following trades:
- Diesel Mechanic
- Boilermaker
- Millwright
Requirements:
- South African citizen (targeted at unemployed Youth)
- Completed:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (Core Mathematics) and Physical Science
- Or Technical Matric (Trade-related theory)
- Or Grade 12 with N3 Mathematics and N3 Engineering Science
- The South African Driver’s License is advantageous
- Must NOT be registered on an active Learnership or Apprenticeship funded by a SETA or privately
