Position:Â SHE Intern
Duration:Â 12 Months contract
Responsibilities:
- The intern will assist the department with various environmental compliance projects for the site.
- They will assist with ensuring that all relevant environmental permits, licenses and authorizations are in place and that the site complies with the stipulated conditions and assist with the ISO 14001 requirements.
- The intern will also assist with the health and safety compliance monitoring based on OHSACT and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Incident investigation and follow up of corrective actions
- Attend SHE meetings.
- Compile Safety Alerts.
- Assist when SHE audits and Inspection are conducted
- The intern will also assist with the compliance and implementation of Covid-19 health and safety protocols in the workplace.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum relevant Bachelor’s degree in:
- Environmental Science
- or Environmental Management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Problem solving / trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Team Player and must be able to function individually with minimal supervision.
- Matured and highly professional.
- Strong commitment to meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to think proactively.
- Attention to detail.
- Code 08 Driver’s License
