Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for an allocation of client portfolios and servicing these clients to the best of your ability.
  • Responsible for the investigation and resolution of all client queries and requests.
  • Responsible for monitoring the JP Morgan outsourced administration relationships pertaining to all tasks and ensuring that any issues identified are resolved timeously.
  • Validation and preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting pertaining to your set of clients.
  • Monitoring of cash, scrip and system reconciliations and the follow up and resolution of all identified reconciliation items.
  • Maintain relationships with local and offshore custodians as well as third party administrators and consultants and ensuring all queries and requests are being dealt with.
  • Maintain good internal relationships between all the various departments the CRM team interacts with.
  • Compliance validation and reporting (inclusive of regulatory certificates) for your allocated group of funds.
  • Validation and reporting on management and performance fee calculations and invoicing.
  • Monitoring of the pricing of the different local and off shore portfolios and products.
  • Processing and reconciliation of all trade related tasks pertaining to your allocated client portfolios.
  • Validation and reporting on Retirement fund tax, Income tax and Capital Gains Tax requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information of your allocated group of funds on Internal Client databases.
  • Validation and reporting on various ranges of Performance numbers – from portfolio to product specific requirements.
  • Updating, monitoring and reconciliation of Scrip lending positions.
  • Validation and reporting on various audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Validation and reporting on the South African Reserve Bank requirements.
  • Daily Client cash flow management inclusive of the physical instruction of these via electronic or faxed instructions.
  • Facilitating, monitoring and validation of the end-to-end process of all client investments, disinvestments and asset transfer
  • Fully assigned in a back-up capacity for a smaller sub team of 4 to perform all the above tasks and duties, in the event of a team member being out of the office.

Ideal Experience/Qualifications

  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Graduate or equivalent majoring in Accounting and Finance
