NBCRFLI: Supply Chain Internship Application Details 2022/2023

Role Purpose:Â Responsible for assisting and providing service and administration of Supply Chain support for the Procurement department within a well-governed supply chain environment and procurement team.
The internship programme will run for a period of a year until 2023 and a monthly stipend will be paid.
Job Objectives:Â
- Acquaint oneself with the maintenance of professional working relationships with internal and external customers within the supply chain environment
- Assist with queries and learn to identify risk areas and familiarise oneself with controls for mitigating such risks
- Educate oneself to use the in-house system, i.e. SAP Procurement system
- Assist procurement team members and familiarise oneself with tender processes
- Assist in the administration of the Purchase Monitoring System through the creation of daily purchase orders
- Self-management by ensuring that deadlines are met and work meets the required standard
- Compile one’s self-development plan and portfolio of evidence to review progress to monitor the quality of own work
- Compile report(s) and the quality of reporting
- Ensure all information is filled, updated, and readily available as required
- Conduct ad-hoc tasks as assigned by respective line management
- Scan and file electronic documentation as and where necessary
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Must have a National Diploma and/or Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management
Skills and Competencies:
- The candidate must have the ability to take direction, pay attention to details and work independently as well as in a team setting
- Computer Literacy
- Filing Systems knowledge
- Numeracy Skills
- Basic Report writing
