Graduate Internships

Position:  Graduate Internship at Iziko Museums of South Africa with particular focus on art collections (two positions available)

Period of Internship:   9 months, 3 days per week

Stipend: R14 094 per month

Requirements:              

  • Postgraduate degree in Art History, Museology, Curatorship, or related field.
  • Applicants should be committed, willing to learn, flexible, self motivated, organised and positive.

Experience:                   

Relevant experience in working on projects, report-writing, and computer skills will be a recommendation

Scope:

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience and skills in all aspects of professional work within Iziko Museums of South Africa with an emphasis on art collections. The graduate interns will work alongside museum professionals, which may include  conservators, curators, educators, designers, and others. This programme will give interns practical knowledge that could be applied in the public or private museum, gallery and heritage sectors.
