Available Internship Opportunities

CPSI is offering internships in two specific fields:

  • Intern: Internal Audit
  • Intern: Legal Services

What the Internship Offers

Successful interns will gain significant exposure and practical experience in their chosen fields. This includes:

  • For Internal Audit Interns:
  • Development of internal audit plans.
  • Planning and execution of audit projects.
  • Preparation of audit reports and supporting audit committees.
  • Following up on audit findings and recommendations.
  • Participation in professional development activities for internal auditors.
  • For Legal Services Interns:
  • Drafting legal opinions and assisting with litigation matters.
  • Working on contracts and service-level agreements.
  • Processing and interpreting legislation related to public administration.
  • Providing support on legislative matters and reform processes.
  • Assisting with drafting regulations and related legal documentation.

Interns will also develop crucial skills such as computer literacy, office management, teamwork, and effective communication. Maintaining confidentiality will be a key aspect of their roles.

Programme Duration and Location

This internship programme has a duration of 24 months. All positions are based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Possess a Senior Certificate/Grade 12.
  • For Internal Audit: A recognised National Diploma or Degree at NQF Level 6/7 in Internal Audit.
  • For Legal Services: A recognised Law Degree at NQF Level 7.
  • Be unemployed.
  • Membership of the Siyakhula Student Membership Programme/Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA) will be an added advantage for Internal Audit applicants.
  • Practical Legal Training will be an added advantage for Legal Services applicants.

  • Computer literacy
  • Office-management abilities
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Client orientation
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • Integrity and professionalism (especially for Legal Services)
