Minimum Requirements for Applicants
To be considered for the City of Johannesburg Chartered Accountant Training Programme, applicants must meet specific criteria. A Grade 12 qualification at NQF Level 4 is essential. Candidates must have completed a Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), both endorsed by SAICA. The qualification must also serve as a prerequisite for admission to the SAICA Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC). Applicants should have zero to one year of working experience.
