Learning Areas:

  • The intern will be capacitated to perform the following functions:
  • Provide, establish and maintain legal services and compliance with the organisation
  • Providing legal advice to the municipality, management of contract and service level agreements, risk and compliance, chairing of disciplinary hearings, drafting of items to Council and committees
  • The full scope of duties will be communicated on commencement of employment.

Requirements:

  • LLB Degree or Equivalent
  • Code B Drivers Licence
  • Fluent in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
  • Computer Literate in MS Word / Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Administration skills
  • Protocol and business ethics
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good research ability
  • Able to handle conflict
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Time management.

Remuneration: R 72 000.00 per annum all inclusive packages (Provincial Funding).

Duration: One (1) year fixed term internship contract.
