The DSI and NRF are pleased to announce a call for\u00a0new applications<\/strong> for DSI-NRF Postgraduate Student Funding for the academic year 2023. Scholarships are intended to support honors, master\u2019s, and doctoral candidates to pursue studies in all areas of Science, Engineering, Technology, Social Sciences, and Humanities<\/strong><\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
The NRF\u00a0minimum academic requirement<\/strong>\u00a0for postgraduate funding is\u00a065%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
The entry age requirement is 28, 30 and 32 years or younger for honours, master\u2019s and doctoral studies respectively, in the year of application, regardless of first year of registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Please\u00a0note:\u00a0<\/strong>All\u00a0continuing students\u00a0who are eligible for a second or third year of funding must submit a Progress Report and not a new application.<\/p>\n
Successful applicants will be funded either at\u00a0Full Cost of Study (FCS)<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Partial Cost of Study (PCS)<\/strong><\/p>\n
Full Cost of Study (FCS)<\/strong><\/p>\n
The FCS funding will be awarded to South African citizens and Permanent Residents only, who are:<\/p>\n
