Position Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n
To learn theoretical and practical skills within the field of communications so as to build and gain practical and hands-on experience through experiential learning based on the internship agreement. To assist the Communications Department to implement the Communication Strategy.<\/p>\n
Key Outputs<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Receive and distribute supplies for the Communications Department;<\/li>\n
- Assist with the coordination of events;<\/li>\n
- Assist with the development of relations with the media and the Communications stakeholders;<\/li>\n
- Assist with the implementation of Legal Aid SA public relations initiatives;<\/li>\n
- Assist with the advertising and public education campaigns in the provinces;<\/li>\n
- Assist with corporate identity quality control;<\/li>\n
- Report on all provincial communications activities;<\/li>\n
- Assist with the responsibility for media interviews and queries;<\/li>\n
- Assist with departmental administration and finance;<\/li>\n
- Assist with daily media monitoring;<\/li>\n
- Liaise with the training & development department to ensure that appropriate internship documents and reports are updated monthly;<\/li>\n
- Maintain departmental databases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Competencies (Skills, Knowledge And Attributes) Required<\/strong><\/p>\n

- A recognised Grade 12 certificate<\/li>\n
- Tertiary qualification in Communications or fulfilment of in service training for tertiary qualification requirement<\/li>\n
- Ready to serve internship according to the rules and regulations of the tertiary institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
