Overview of SANRAL Bursary Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n
A\u00a0bursary <\/b>is a monetary award made by any educational institution or funding authority to individuals or groups. It is usually awarded to enable a student to attend school, university, or college when they might not be able to, otherwise. Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.<\/p>\n

SANRAL Bursary Application Details 2022-2023<\/strong><\/h3>\n
SANRAL is committed to developing skills of students who express an interest in studying and building a career within the Civil Engineering industry. We therefore invite candidates studying towards a university degree in BEng \/ BSc Civil Engineering to apply for bursaries.<\/p>\n
Consideration will be given to needy students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate study or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and post graduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from matriculants with at least 70% for mathematics and science students studying towards the above Engineering fields, and registered with a University will also be considered.<\/p>\n
The bursary awarded will cover:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Accommodation\/Meals<\/li>\n
\u00a0Books\/Equipment plus compulsory excursion and seminars<\/li>\n

Induction programme for new bursary students:<\/strong><\/p>\n
We will invite all new students awarded bursaries for an induction session to brief them about SANRAL\u2019s activities. We also develop the buddy system with students where we develop relationships with them and the Project Manager who will assist them with information required for their academic projects.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s certified copy of Identification Document<\/li>\n
\u00a0Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s proof of income<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Application process:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Consideration will be given to needy South African students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate studies or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and postgraduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from first year students studying towards the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and registered with a university will be considered.<\/p>\n
Bursary applicants will not be considered if they fail any subject in the current academic year. If in Grade 12 applicants should achieve the minimum of 70% in both mathematics and physical science and minimum of 70% for English.<\/p>\n
