Overview of PSSA Bursary Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A\u00a0bursary <\/b>is a monetary award made by any educational institution or funding authority to individuals or groups. It is usually awarded to enable a student to attend school, university, or college when they might not be able to, otherwise. Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.<\/p>\n

PSSA Bursary Application Details 2022-2023<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The\u00a0Pharmaceutical Society Of South Africa (PSSA) is offering bursaries to\u00a0full-time pharmacy students. Only students\u00a0registered with a School\/Department\/Faculty of Pharmacy will be considered. Students who apply for this bursary must be\u00a0postgraduate students with a PSSA membership.<\/p>\n

The PSSA membership is currently\u00a0free. In order to apply for this membership, applicants must send an email to\u00a0nitsa@pssa.org.za\u00a0for an application form.<\/p>\n

Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Full-time pharmacy students registered with a School\/Department\/Faculty of Pharmacy<\/li>\n
  • Must be a\u00a0 postgraduate student<\/li>\n
  • The postgraduate student must be a PSSA member (currently membership is free \u2013 send email to\u00a0nitsa@pssa.org.za\u00a0for application form)<\/li>\n
  • South African citizens with a valid South African ID number<\/li>\n
  • Academic potential<\/li>\n
  • Financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • No conditions are attached to the awards regarding any post-qualification requirements. However, should the recipient of an award discontinue his\/her studies for any reason during the year of the award, the award becomes repayable immediately in such manner as the Foundation may decide.<\/li>\n
    • The bursaries awarded are made payable to the institution at which the recipient is studying. After deduction of fees and other legitimate expenses the institution will pay over any balance to the recipient.<\/li>\n
    • Recipients of bursaries must submit a new application each year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
